Which size: Small is right for puppies, toy breeds and cats. Medium suits most small to medium dogs. Large is the one for bigger dogs and two-dog tug games.
Keeping it clean: Use cool water and a drop of mild soap, squeeze out the excess and let it dry right through before it goes back in the toy basket.
Mending it: Check it after a hard game. If threads start to pull loose, a few stitches with a needle and strong thread will keep it going for longer.
