Cakes ship frozen, overnight, on dry ice. There is no other shipping option and there are no exceptions. If you cannot receive an overnight delivery, please order for local pickup instead.

• $25 Frozen Shipping Pack. Added to every shipped cake order. It covers the insulated shipper box and the dry ice, at cost. This is separate from and in addition to the overnight freight charge.
• Overnight freight is calculated at checkout and typically runs $45–$75 depending on how far you are from our Alabama kitchen.
• We need a minimum of 3 full business days to bake your cake before it can ship. We do not do rush orders on cakes.
• No weekend delivery. Cakes are delivered Tuesday through Friday only. We do not ship on Fridays and we do not ship the day before a public holiday.
• Continental USA only. We cannot ship frozen cakes to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses or internationally.
• Someone must be home to receive it. Dry ice sublimates. A cake will not survive a day on a porch in July. We cannot be responsible for a cake left unattended at the address you gave us.

Order deadlines

Choose your delivery date at checkout — unavailable dates are greyed out automatically. If your celebration has a fixed date, order early. We would far rather you had the cake two days spare than not at all.

About our colours — please read before choosing a custom colour

We use natural food colouring only. No dyes, no lakes, no artificial pigment of any kind. Colour comes from beetroot, turmeric, spirulina, butterfly pea flower, red cabbage and blueberry powder. Shades therefore vary from batch to batch and we cannot guarantee an exact match to a swatch, a party palette or a photo.

Our cake batter contains sweet potato, which leaves a permanent underlying orange tinge that we have to work with. On the Brownie Pupcake the carob masks a good deal of it in the cake itself, but the frosting still carries it — pinks go coral, blues go teal, whites go cream. This is simply what food-only colour looks like, and we would rather be straight with you now than have you disappointed on the day. If you need a specific shade, message us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether we can get close.

When your cake arrives

It will be frozen or very firm. Move it straight to the freezer, or to the fridge if you are serving within 24 hours. Thaw overnight in the fridge and serve at room temperature. There may still be dry ice in the box — do not handle it with bare hands, and let it evaporate in a ventilated room away from children and pets.
