Himalayan Yak Cheese Chews

Three ingredients and a lot of patience: yak milk, cow milk and a little lime juice, pressed and dried the way it has been done for generations. What comes out is rock hard, which is exactly why it lasts as long as it does.

A hard cheese chew that lasts.

  • Small 3.5 to 4 oz, large 5.5 oz, jumbo 7.1 to 8.1 oz.
  • Most of the lactose is lost in the making, so it suits plenty of dogs who do badly with dairy.
  • Protein and calcium, and nothing added for colour or for keeping.
  • For a committed chewer. If your dog's teeth are worn or missing, choose something softer.
  • Microwave the last stub for 30 to 60 seconds and it puffs into a crunchy cheese treat. There is a note on that below.

Always supervise your dog with any chew. Remove small end pieces. Introduce new proteins gradually if your dog has a history of food sensitivity, and stop feeding if you see loose stool or itching within 48 hours.

Description

The last inch

Soak the stub in water for 10 minutes before it goes in the microwave, keep to the time and no longer, and let it cool before your dog gets it back.

How hard is hard

This is a good, hard chew and a safe one, which is what makes it last. It is made for strong teeth and a dog who likes to work at something.

What is in it

Yak milk, cow milk and a little lime juice. Nothing is added for colour or for keeping.

Supervision

Supervise your dog, keep water nearby, and take the chew away once it is small enough to swallow whole.
