Greenshell™ Mussel Powder for Senior Dogs for Mobility & Joint Comfort

$21.00 $25.00

Is your dog taking the stairs a little slower? Hesitating before the jump into the car? Stiff for the first ten minutes of every morning walk?

Joint discomfort creeps up quietly. By the time you notice the limp, the cartilage has usually been wearing for a long while — and most "hip and joint" supplements answer it with a long ingredient list where the thing that actually works is at the bottom, in a dose too small to matter.

Colt's Woof Greenshell™ Mussel Powder is the opposite. One ingredient. 100% New Zealand Greenshell™ mussel (Perna canaliculus), freeze-dried whole and milled to a fine powder. No fillers, no binders, no flavourings, no "proprietary blend." Just the mussel — which is exactly the form the clinical research used.

Green-lipped mussel is one of the most studied natural joint ingredients in veterinary medicine, and this is the certified article: our powder carries the 8+ Lipids quality mark from New Zealand Aquaculture, independently verifying both its New Zealand origin and its lipid content. Most GLM sold in the US can't say that.

Sprinkle it on dinner. That's the whole routine.

Certified New Zealand Greenshell™ mussel powder — a single-ingredient food topper that supports joint comfort, mobility, and healthy cartilage.

Scientific Studies

Our formulations are guided by scientific research to ensure effective, nature-powered support for your dog's wellness.

Green-lipped mussels have been part of coastal Māori diets for centuries, and modern researchers took notice for a simple reason: the people eating them didn't seem to get arthritis. What the science eventually found inside the mussel was an unusual combination — Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA & DHA) alongside a rich profile of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), the building blocks of cartilage and the synovial fluid that cushions every joint.

That combination is why whole mussel powder outperforms isolated glucosamine: you're feeding the entire natural matrix, not one component of it.

Why ours is different. Not all green-lipped mussel is equal. Lipid content varies, origin is often vague, and the delicate Omega-3s oxidise easily if the powder isn't handled properly. Our Greenshell™ powder is cold-processed and lipid-stabilised before freeze-drying to protect those fatty acids, then verified: New Zealand Aquaculture's 8+ Lipids quality mark confirms it is genuinely from New Zealand and genuinely exceeds 8% lipids. Our current batch tests at 8.8% lipids and 65.5% protein.

How to use. Mix into food once daily — about one level scoop (1 cc) per 25 lb of bodyweight. Introduce gradually over 5–7 days.

Dog size Bodyweight Daily
