Description
The idea. Foraging is what a dog's nose is for, and most dogs never get to use it. A dog that has solved a problem is a noticeably calmer dog for the rest of the evening.
What it is. A flat puzzle board in Auburn orange and blue, with compartments hidden under sliding panels and rotating sections. Load them with kibble, small treats, or something soft and freeze it if your dog solves it too quickly. Start easy and visible, then make it harder — the difficulty is meant to move.
Which dogs. 13 x 9.5 x 1 inches — room for a big nose, enough resistance for a small one. A dog who has never done a puzzle before will need you to show them the first move.
Being honest about durability. This is an enrichment toy, not a chew toy. A determined chewer will get through it, and it is not meant to be left with one. Stay with your dog while they play, take it away if they start chewing the board rather than working it, and put it away between sessions — treated that way it lasts years.
